Welcome to the Y5 page. We hope you find the information useful.
This term has been a very exciting (and tiring) term so far!
Year 5, have been making a variety of different dishes in cooking, which we are sure you have enjoyed tasting too.
We have lead another service in church, this time the Christingle. Our children were amazing and we are so proud of them!
The children have loved learning all about climate change and are so passionate about this! We have written a balanced argument in English and created some fantastic climate change Art in the style of Jill Pelto.
We are looking forward to what the next half term brings. We will keep you posted of all the exciting things that we do!
We have loved using watercolours to blend like Jill Pelto. We used our new sketching pencils to draw trees and reflected on these to improve.
In Science, we asked ourselves whether the size of a parachute would impact the rate of descent. Check out our parachutes below! We also how the shape of tinfoil would effect the ability to float.
In Maths, we have been using place value counters charts to support our understanding of addition and subtraction. Ask your child to show you their fantastic knowledge!
