Due to the COVID-19 school closure, we are continuing with this topic for the whole Summer term. Why do you think ladybirds have spots? Can you go on a minibeast hunt around your garden or local area? Remember to look at page 2 to see how you can support your child's learning at home.
Newsletter- Spring 2
This half term we will be continuing our story theme. We will be focusing on fairy tales and traditional stories. Ask children to re-tell you a story they have listened to in school. When counting out objects below 10 at home, ask children what one more would be!
Newsletter- Spring 1
During the whole of Spring term, we will be looking at a range of stories. We will learn about a range of traditional stories such as 'The Three Little Pigs.' Do you have any traditional stories or fairy tales at home? Also have a look around your home for simple 2D shapes such as squares, circle and triangles.
Newsletter- Autumn 2
What do you do before you go to sleep? This half term we will investigating day and night, bedtime routines and reading the book 'Whatever Next!' We will also be learning about the story of the first Christmas. In our number work we will continue working on the numbers to 5.

Who are your family members? How can you be a good friend? In our first term in Reception, we will be looking at how to be a good friend and how to describe our feelings. We will also be finding out about people who might help us in school. Our focus will also be on the numbers 1 to 5.
