Risk Assessment - Covid-19
In order to support our phased re-opening of school on 1st June 2020, we have worked with Leeds City Council to ensure the school is safe to open. We carry out a dynamic risk assessment daily and then update our risk assessment. Our risk assessment should be read with our Covid-19 home-school agreement. Please find the latest versions below:
Domestic Violence and Abuse and Coronavirus
We know this is a difficult and worrying time for everyone, especially for adults and children living with domestic abuse and the professionals working hard to support them.
There is support available to help you through this time. You can still:
- call the police on 999 in an emergency (press 55 after the emergency number if you're in danger and not able to speak for help)
- find accommodation from Leeds Housing Options or Leeds Domestic Violence Service if you are a victim of domestic abuse and need to escape
- find a safe place to stay with social distancing in place to protect you
telephone or webchat for support at: https://www.leeds.gov.uk/domesticviolence/Pages/default.aspx
We know that some of our families are struggling with food during this time. Please do not hesitate to contact the school by replying to the teachers2parents text service. We will do what we can to help. Stay safe.

alongside our motto of:
Believe, belong, achieve
As a parent/carer, we hope that you will approach us with anything that concerns or worries you. We want to ensure that your child enjoys their time with us and that they take away many happy memories. If we do not know, we cannot do anything about it.
We hope you find the information on this website useful, if you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact either myself via the school office.
Yes, we are a Requires Improvement School under the eyes of Ofsted. This does not mean that our provision is not 'good', it simply means that our assessment data at EYFS (Reception), KS1 (Year 2) and KS2 (Year 6) requires improvement. We accept this and would like to say that we are on a journey to improve this. We are adding 10% each year and have significantly improved our Phonics Data (Year 1) in June 2019 to 80%. This was 2% below national. This year, we know that results in all year groups will be even better due to the training and support received staff have received and the determination of staff. Watch this space!
On 25th - 26th September 2018, our school was inspected by Ofsted (Section 5 inspection). The school was graded Requires Improvement. Since then, the governors, staff and Senior Leadership Team have been working extremely hard to improve all aspects of the school identified by Ofsted. This will take some time. On 17th December 2019, HMI carried out a monitoring visit under section 8 of the Education Act (see information for parents). The school is not there yet but please do not let this deter you. Come and visit the school to see for yourself, we would love to show you around!
